Alliance Federal Credit Union announces Scott Rose as the credit union’s New CEO

SAN FRANCISCO, CA. The Alliance Federal Credit Union Board of Directors is pleased to announce the selection of Mr. Scott Rose as the organization’s next President/Chief Executive Officer.

Lubbock, Texas. February 20th, 2015 – The Board of Directors of Alliance Federal Credit Union are pleased to announce the appointment of Scott Rose to the position of President and CEO. The Board of Directors welcomes Scott with great enthusiasm and is convinced they have found a dynamic and engaging leader to guide the credit union into the future. Mr. Rose shared, “I am excited about joining the Alliance team. As we celebrate 75 years of member service, I look forward to us working together to continue the credit union legacy of people helping people throughout our community and surrounding areas.”
Mr. Rex Andrews, Chairman of the Alliance Federal Credit Union Board of Directors had this to say concerning Scott Rose. “Scott has been a Credit Union President for 23 years in Texas, and for most of that time at KELLY Community Credit Union in Tyler, Texas. There in Tyler, Scott ‘walked the talk’ being very involved in charitable and educational organizations. He has been extremely active as well in the Credit Union movement as a spokesman, advocate and educator. We are very pleased to have Scott Rose join the Alliance team. Scott will begin his position in March and will be formally introduced to our membership at the Credit Union’s annual meeting on March the 30th”.

Currently Mr. Rose is the president of the Tyler Area Chapter of Credit Unions, and a Trustee on the Board of the Cornerstone Credit Union Foundation. He served terms on the Board of Directors of the Texas Credit Union League and Credit Union Resources, Inc. Mr. Rose is an avid teacher on several fronts. He teaches Financial Life Principles at high schools, colleges, and universities. A winner of over 60 state and national marketing awards, Mr. Rose speaks on many relevant subjects at state and national credit union conferences. Mr. Rose will assume the role of CEO at Alliance Federal Credit Union in April.

Along with a Bachelors of Business Administration degree from Amberton University, Mr. Rose is a Certified Credit Union Executive (CCUE), Certified Financial Services Professional (CFSP), and a graduate of CUES’s CEO Institute as a Certified Chief Executive (CCE). Also as a Credit Union Development Educator (CUDE), Mr. Rose actively reaches out to the underserved of small and modest means having taught financial responsibility classes at the Salvation Army and served as Chairman of Turnaround Now Ministries.

Scott and his wife Jill have been married for 25 years and have two sons, Nolan and Taft. Both of their sons are in the process of furthering their education. One attends Dallas Baptist University and the other The University of Texas @ Tyler.
