CWCCU Announces Stacie Wyss-Schoenborn as New CEO

Stacie-Wyss-Schoenborn_295Albany, OR – The Board of Directors of Central Willamette Community Credit Union (CWCCU) has announced that Stacie Wyss-Schoenborn will succeed Elaine Eastman as its President/CEO beginning January 1, 2015. Eastman announced her pending retirement earlier this year after over 38 years of service at the credit union.

Ms. Wyss-Schoenborn was introduced at the annual meeting of members held on October 14, 2014. F. James Healy, chair of the board of directors, stated that “Stacie comes to us after a national search to find the ideal person to carry on the culture of Central Willamette and lead our credit union to the next level. The board is very proud of their selection of Stacie and excited that she has agreed to join us as our new CEO.”

“Stacie brings with her over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Her most recent position was with BECU (Boeing Employees Credit Union) as Vice President of Member Solutions where she oversaw 43 branches and Business Development. Prior to BECU she has worked for CUNA Mutual Group and the Credit Union Association of Oregon (now Northwest Credit Union Association).”

Stacie holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Oregon and an MBA from Marylhurst University. Additionally, she graduated from Credit Union Executives Society (CUES) CEO Institute. She is a frequent speaker at credit union conferences and has been featured in several credit union industry publications. In 2013 she was recognized by Credit Union Times as a “Woman to Watch.” She was also selected to be a member of Filene Research Institute’s i3 Innovation Program (an international credit union think tank).
