The most important intangible in any executive search is evaluating how a candidate will fit into your corporate culture. It is often difficult for credit unions to describe and therefore challenging for potential candidates to assess. It’s worth taking the time to think about what it’s like working for your organization and what types of people will excel in the environment.

Here’s a good article that may help you begin that assessment. It is also essential that your hiring process is consistent with the culture. This will be the first impression most candidates will have and it’s important that you are not sending mixed messages. How you advertise the opportunity, how candidates are moved through the process and your interview format all send a message to candidates. You want to be sure you are putting your best foot forward at every point of the process.
