Portland, Maine – December 5, 2016 – Evergreen Credit Union is proud to announce the hiring of their new President and CEO, Jason Lindstrom. Christopher Doe, Evergreen’s Board Chair stated, “On behalf of Evergreen Credit Union and its board of directors, I am pleased to announce that we have appointed Jason Lindstrom as our new President & Chief Executive Officer. His wealth of knowledge and diverse background in credit union operations, lending, and marketing will be a tremendous asset to our members and employees. “I am pleased and excited to be assuming the President/CEO role at Evergreen Credit Union. I am honored that the board of directors has put their trust in me. Throughout my career, I have maintained a passion for credit unions and the “people helping people” credit union philosophy. I plan to help take Evergreen to the next level and continue to build upon their success.” said Lindstrom
Mr. Lindstrom recently served as the Chief Marketing Officer for Belvoir Federal Credit Union, prior to their merger earlier this year with Pentagon Federal Credit Union where he was a director. Lindstrom’s credit union career spans a broad set of positions in lending, business development, product development, branch operations, marketing, political advocacy and governmental affairs with notable credit unions on the west and east coasts. His credit union experience was launched in California, where he worked with Nuvision Federal Credit Union, Orange County’s Credit Union and SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union before moving to Belvoir Federal Credit Union in 2010.
Lindstrom is a passionate innovator and has led teams that worked to develop new products through Filene Research Institute’s I3 program. He also attended Western CUNA Management School and is a certified Credit Union Development Educator (CUDE) and mentor. During his tenure at Belvoir, the credit union achieved and maintained a 90+ Net Promoter Score, had high member usage rates, and his implementation of their mobile banking platform saw more than 60% of Belvoir members use the platform within 3 years. He was also elected and then re-elected to the CUNA Marketing and Business Development Council’s Executive Committee.
Jason and his family are eager to move to the Portland area and get involved in Evergreen’s community.
