IC FCU Announces Tony Emerson New CEO
SAN FRANCISCO, April 24, 2013—The IC Federal Credit Union Board of Directors is pleased to announce the selection of Anthony Emerson as their new Chief Executive Officer to replace retiring executive Tony Cali. Anthony Emerson, DBA, CCUE, C.P.M. has been the President/CEO of The Credit Union League of Connecticut since March of 2008. “The Board is extremely excited for the arrival of Tony Emerson. After an extensive national search process and many strong potential candidates, the Board feels Tony has the skills and leadership capabilities to take IC Federal Credit Union to the next level of growth” states Ken Stone, Chairman of the IC FCU Board of Directors.
Prior to coming to Connecticut, Tony served as the Vice President of Finance/Accounting/Operations for Maine Savings FCU in Hampden, Maine from 2003-2008. He began his credit union career in 2001 at Penobscot County FCU after serving in an executive capacity with a world-wide manufacturing firm, and serving several years as a Contracting Officer in the Air Force. He has served on various Boards of Directors, Steering Committees, League Committees, and served a two-year term as a Chapter President. Anthony has earned degrees in Contract Law, Logistics Management, Accounting, Master of Business Administration, and a Doctorate in International Business, as well as being a graduate of The Academy of Military Science (with high honors).
Emerson states, “I am extremely delighted to have been chosen as the next President & CEO of IC Federal Credit Union. The Board, staff and members are all loyal and dedicated to the success of the credit union. I look forward to working will all of them well into the future to ensure the continued growth and prosperity of the credit union. My family and I are excited to be relocating to the Fitchburg area, and look forward to becoming part of the fabric of the community.”
For the past five years, in addition to his credit union responsibilities, Tony has consulted on business strategy and strategic management extensively. He has been published numerous times in various publications on topics that include: strategic management, member service, the service-profit chain, employee empowerment, cooperative financing models, service standard metrics, and a variety of other business related topics. In addition, his dissertation, “The Effects of Employee Satisfaction and Customer Retention on Corporate Profitability: An Analysis of the Service-Profit Chain” received high honors and has been published on a subject matter basis.
