Inspire Federal Credit Union Selects Jim Merrill as New President/CEO

Inspire Federal Credit Union’s Board of Directors announce today that they have selected Jim Merrill as the new Chief Executive Officer to succeed Glenn Styer of the $85 million Bucks County based credit union. Prior to the appointment, Merrill has spent the past 23 years in various credit union industry roles, which include CEO of Fairless Credit Union and Executive Vice President of New Jersey Credit Union League. Most recently, he has served as the Senior Vice President at LendKey Technologies, a technology firm serving nearly 300 credit unions nationally. Merrill will succeed Glenn Styer, the Credit Union’s current CEO, on August 1.

“After an extensive search to find the candidate that fit with our succession plan, the Board was able to find a great fit in hiring Jim Merrill as the next President/CEO of Inspire FCU.” said Chichi Ahia, Board Chairman.

I would like to extend my appreciation to Glenn Styer, who has successfully operated Inspire FCU for the past 23 years.” said Merrill.

Glenn Styer, who will retire on July 31, is credited for increasing asset size from $14.5 million to $85 million, transforming the Credit Union into a community charter, and implementing convenient banking technologies among many other key accomplishments. He expressed his confidence in the Board’s selection. “On behalf of the staff and the Board of Directors, I’m excited to welcome Jim Merrill as the new CEO of Inspire Federal Credit Union!” said Styer.
