After an extensive national search conducted by O’Rourke & Associates, the Pen Air Federal Credit Union Board of Directors is pleased to announce Mr. Stewart Ramsey as the organization’s new Chief Executive Officer. “On behalf of the Pen Air Board of Directors, we want to extend our sincere gratitude to the team that’s built the organization to what it is today and to extend a heartfelt welcome to Stu and his family. We are looking forward to his leadership as we look to the future” stated Maurice Johnson, Chairman, Pen Air FCU Board of Directors. Stu brings 30 years of diverse professional experience that includes Big 4 public accounting, financial management positions and, most recently, 7 years of credit union CEO experience. Stu will join Pen Air FCU after serving for the past 5 years as CEO of Fort Campbell FCU in Clarksville, TN. Since joining Fort Campbell in 2007, with the help of the executive team and staff, the credit union has grown from $250 million to $450 million in assets, increased membership from 32,000 to over 45,000, and has been rated in the Top 100 in the country in providing value to its members.

Stu will bring to Pen Air FCU a passion for a member centric corporate culture, leadership development, community involvement, along with strong financial management capabilities. Stu graduated in 1982 from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting and received his CPA license in 1985. Stu has completed the CEO Institute through CUES and has obtained the Certified Chief Executive designation.

“Pen Air is an outstanding credit union that has done an excellent job through difficult economic times. I am excited to become part of the team that made that happen and look forward to the amazing future that awaits the entire organization and the community we serve. Lonna and I are anxious to make the Pensacola area home and I am sure our four children will come to visit more often with the Gulf just a short drive away”, stated Ramsey.  Stu will join the credit union as Chief Executive Officer in July 2012.
