Crown Point, IN – March 15, 2019 – TECH Credit Union is very excited to announce the hiring of Gene Novello as their new President/CEO, placed by O’Rourke and Associates. Mr. Novello will replace long-term CEO, Mike Hussey who will be retiring on June 30, 2019 after 41 years of dedicated service.

Gene has been in the financial services industry for over 35 years. He is an experienced leader and financial executive with a broad background encompassing every facet of the financial industry including Credit Union and Bank Operations, Strategic Planning, Consumer, Commercial and Mortgage Lending, Internal Audit, Regulatory Loan Review, Property and Risk Management, Physical and Data Security, Regulatory Compliance and Data Processing and Insurance.

He most recently served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Indiana’s largest credit union and has worked for several area banks throughout his career. Gene has extensive experience in serving as the face of the credit union and as an ambassador in the community and will continue these efforts at Tech Credit Union.

The credit union is known throughout the area for the quality of its member service, attention to member needs, and high ethical standards.” said Gene.  “I look forward to building on the solid foundation built by my predecessor, Mike Hussey. Gene, his wife and family reside in LaPorte, IN. He recognizes that Tech Credit Union is a successful organization and is confident that he can help build on its achievements and attain greater heights.
