ONTARIO, CA (October 22, 2019) — O’Rourke & Associates — an established firm helping credit unions attract the best in leadership — is now a division of Humanidei, the industry’s newest consultant for executive coaching, human capital solutions, and training in diversity, equity and inclusion that improves organizational performance.

“Credit unions have everything they need to win the war for talent, but they still struggle to attract and retain a diverse pool of the best and brightest candidates,” said Jill Nowacki, President and CEO of Humanidei. “Bringing O’Rourke & Associates and Humanidei together provides our clients with the best of both worlds in executive recruiting: rich experience paired with new approaches to attract a broader cross-section of talent.”

Nowacki has appointed Lisa Burroughs to serve as executive director of Humanidei’s recruiting practice. Burroughs has been with O’Rourke & Associates since 2017, most recently serving as director of executive search and strategy.

“I am excited and honored to be leading the executive recruitment practice under this expanded focus,” Burroughs said. “Our strong history of credit union experience and our new connection with Humanidei differentiates us among search firms, positioning us ideally to help credit unions win the war for talent.”

Humanidei was launched in July 2019 with the goal of helping credit unions be the employers and volunteer magnets of choice for today’s top talent (see “Human Capital Consulting Firm ‘Humanidei’ is Launched for CUs”). Humanidei builds inclusive cultures that attract, retain and leverage the best in each individual, serving as the single-greatest asset for human development inside the credit union system. It was designed to fill a void in the industry.

The addition of O’Rourke & Associates’ expertise to the Humanidei team is expected to propel the new human capital consultancy firm forward. As U.S. unemployment remains near record historical lows, several businesses cite intense competition to attract and retain top talent as a major threat. According to the 22nd Annual Global CEO Survey of financial services executives recently conducted by PWC (PricewaterhouseCoopers), 76 percent of respondents indicate skill shortages as a significant threat to growth prospects.

Credit unions face this reality as they enter the next decade, with up to 50 percent of current CEOs planning to retire, Nowacki said.

“The O’Rourke & Associates name has been affiliated with excellence in credit union executive searches for more than three decades,” Nowacki added. “The firm’s strong reputation has been earned through its history in building up a team that has extensive knowledge of credit unions’ unique needs. Humanidei is honored to be working with O’Rourke under its wing and is looking forward to helping credit unions succeed with the best human-capital, diversity and inclusion solutions.”
